Help Topics:
- How do I manually configure Windows for the wireless network?
- Step by step instructions to determine if your wireless adapter supports the requirement.
- How do I connect to other wireless networks not affiliated with EKU, using the Aegis Client?
- 4 - How do I log into EKU Active Directory from the wireless network?
If you are using a computer that is used by multiple people, the Aegis client configured for Active Directory is required. You can request the AD Wifi Client from the EKU WIRELESS TEAM.
If you are using a computer that is used only by one person, you can use the windows wireless management configuration. However you must first login to the computer on a wired network connection. This is only required one time.
- When using Windows Wireless Management, my connection keeps disconnecting. Install the EKU Wifi Hotfix provided by EKU. download Hotfix
- Can I use Linux with the wireless network?
We currently do not support Linux on the wireless network. We are expecting a version of the aegis client that can be pre-configured and distributed for Linux in the near future but I believe it will be limited with the wireless adapters that it supports. In the mean time I can give you the configuration requirements for our wireless network but you will be required to configure and troubleshoot any issues yourself. Please remember that your wireless adapter must support WPA.
