In order to use the Aegis client for a non-EKU wireless network, the client must be configured for the network.
First open the Aegis Client, highlight the wireless adapter and then click on the Network Profiles tab.
Click on the SSID needing to be configured and click the "Moved to Configure" button.
Click on the "properties" button.

"Uncheck the Peer-to-peer Group" checkbox.
Check the "Do active scan" checkbox.
Under the Authentication Profiles Section: Click the Desktop button and choose eku_secure from the drop down box.
This is not used for any authentication but is required to initiate a connection to the network. If your network requires 802.1x authentication an additional authentication profile will need to be created.

Click on the WEP Management Tab.
Configuration at this point is based on the type of network. If an open network is desired, uncheck all options.

Click OK twice to apply the configuration and close the configuration windows.
For additional assistance on configuring your personal networks, click on the help menu and then click help topics.
